Yesterday it got into the high 70's. So when Matt got home and the boys were up from their naps, we went to the park. The boys had a blast. When we were ready to go home, Drew went down the twisty slide by himself. He discovered static electricity by the time he reached the bottom.
Matt and Drew watching crazy Zack run around.
Zack needed mommy to save him and help him up the twisty slide.
Zack and Drew playing in the tunnel.
Drew going down a slide for the first time.
Yesterday I had made Zack a PB and J sandwich. Zack ate most of it and then it was time to have his nap. Zack left the rest of his sandwich in his bowl on the coffee table. I finished feeding Drew and put him on the floor. I took Zack to go to the bathroom before his nap. When we came out, I looked over to make sure Drew was ok before I took Zack upstairs. Drew was standing next to the coffee table. This is normal since he found out that he can pull himself up on anything. Then I noticed Zack's bowl and I knew what had happened. Drew had the sandwich, had taken a bite, and was chewing on it when I got over to him. So I grabbed the camera for a couple pics to show daddy. Drew then spit out the sandwich to make room for another bite.
I was trying to get a picture of Drew's vampire teeth. Every time I would take a picture, the flash would make him cover some part of his face. I am going to keep trying.
Big boy.
Zack wanted his picture taken when Matt was trying to get one of Drew. Zack just stepped in front of the camera.
How many toys does it take to make Drew happy? That is only one of the 3 hampers of toys that have made their home downstairs.
Too cool.
Christmas came again. We got the rest of our gifts from Idaho. The Allen cousins draw names and exchange gifts. Here is Zack with the blocks Drew got.
Zack's two favorite things: his burp rag and his thumb.
Getting ready to stand.
Three more pics by Zack.
Drew's first wagon ride. We had left our stroller at Rose's house. So when we wanted to go on a walk, we remembered that we had a wagon. The boys loved it.
Drew showing off his mad skills and the activity table I found at Goodwill for 7 dollars.
Matt is running as much as ever. His goal is to never take a day off running ever again. He is looking forward to the end of school and the joys of being off and staying home with the family.
Amy is working and taking care of the kids. She has recently found out the joys of making stuff out of wood. She has come up with a few projects for things around the house.
Zack is loving school and all the learning he is doing. He can almost read a whole level one reader by himself. He does great with his sight words but has also learned how to sound out words as long as they are 3-4 letters long.
Drew misses Zack when he is at school but also enjoys being the boss when he is not around. Drew and Lena play together all the time and get along great most the time.
Lena is getting so big. She tries to do everything her brothers do. She climbs and jumps on everything she can. She is a big helper. She will get things and put stuff away for you.
