How many balls can Zack hold?

Zack trying to pick up a football and a soccer ball at the same time.

Zack playing with daddy. Daddy was trying to get a picture of Zack doing his "Where did it go?" hands. As you can see, he was not very helpful.

Zack was all better once he got his candy cane.

Our family picture. What a crazy boy. He liked the flashing light for the timer on the camera.

Who'd a thunk?

It's SNOWING in Houston?!

We never thought we'd see the day. It's as close to a White Christmas as we can probably ever hope for unless we go up north.

Santa came to our neighborhood in a fire truck.

Zack looking as Santa drives down the block.
Zack checking out his candy that Santa gave to him.
You cannot see Santa because we got out there just in time for Zack to see him and get some candy. Matt had gotten in the shower, so mommy had to do the best she could taking pictures while holding Zack so that he would not be scared.

Zack seeing the Christmas tree lights for the first time.

What a shiner!

Zack coloring.

Mommy reading to Zack after he got his shiner. We were at Josh and Xan's house. Zack tripped and hit the coffee table. Needless to say, he cried a lot.
The day after.
Day 2
Zack enjoying coloring.

Playing is fun.

I was working on my calendar that I make every year. Zack was playing behind me with his toys. When I looked back to see how he was doing, this is what I found. So I hurried to get the camera.

Zack playing on his new toy. Zack loves to look out the back window. He used to climb up and sit on the top of the litter boxes. So over Thanksgiving break, Matt made this window bench.

Thanksgiving

Zack and Kaesley playing with Josh's keys and chapstick.
Zack watching the adults play DDR (Dance Dance Revolution).

Matt and Zack watching the wrestling match.

Josh wrestling one of the missionaries. What great fun after eating.

Zack dancing also.

Camping

Josh convinced Maddie to jump in the puddle. Lori was not very happy with Josh for doing this.
Ready to go for a hike. Matt and Zack looking at the lake.

Zack's sleeping arrangement. Zack slept in his play tent inside our tent. He slept on two big blankets and had three on top of him. He slept very warm and well.

Matt and Zack in our tent.

Zack playing with one of his favorite toys. He loves to turn flashlights on and off.

Camping

Zack watching Maddie make a leaf and pine needle angel.
Zack having breakfast. Zack's first camping trip with a fire.

Zack and Maddie. Maddie is our friends' little girl and she is 3. This was her first camping trip.

Zack running around having fun. It was a little cold. It got down into the thirties that night.

Zack walking back from the playground. We got there late the night before so he did not have much fun. With the sun being up, he was able to see all the cool things like sticks, rocks, and leaves.

Fun with toys.

Zack playing with a block train we got at a garage sale for 2 dollars. So much for waiting for Christmas.
Zack decided that his toys needed to go in the laundry basket. The next morning he crawled into the basket and sat on his toys to read his book. He is a little book worm. He asks for a book every time he gets up in the morning or from his nap.

Matt's big run.

Josh

Nathan was a little tired.

One of Matt's hand offs. He just finished his first of 6 legs. This one was only 3.1 miles. Matt and 9 other people ran a 180 mile relay race from San Antonio to Fredericksburg and over to Austin. Each team was made up of 12 people. Matt's team had a couple people drop out close to race time so they only ran with 10 people. Matt ran his and another guy's legs of the race. They all had a great time. Matt was very sore and tired; he only ran 33 miles at an average pace of 7:55 per mile. They placed 10th out of 41 teams finishing the 180 miles in 26 hours and 6 minutes. Matt enjoyed it and wants to do it again next year.
