Family Picture

Our first family picture.

Memorial Day Weekend Camping

Matt and Drew

Drew in Zack's old hat. He is ready for a walk.

Zack's nap time.

Our friend Xan taking a nap and wearing Zack's hat.

Birds

Matt caught Xan yawning.

Josh going under the bridge. Look at all the bird nests under the bridge. When we got close, all the birds started to fly out.

Kayaking

All four of us on the two-person kayak. When we first started out, I was helping Matt paddle. Then Drew got cold (because it started raining and he was on the floor of the kayak) so I held him and Matt did all the paddling. I felt like a queen. It was a lot of fun. Zack even decided to try swimming on his own. Since he was in the middle, he decided to stand up behind mom. The kayak was wet, of course, so when he moved to do something he slipped. He ended up in the lake head first. His life jacket did its job and Matt grabbed the loop on the back and pulled him out. After getting over the shock, he started to cry. I am glad that I got the kayak for Matt's birthday.

Xan in one of our one-person kayaks. We have 3 one-person kayaks and the two-person kayak. Now we can go kayaking with family and friends.

Josh being Josh. Matt told him to pose for the camera. He wanted to know what he should do. So I told him "Whatever you want," but also to remember that it was going to end up on my blog.

Zack ready to go kayaking.

Bugs

Matt found a cicada and let Zack see it. Matt tried to put it on Zack but he was not up for that.

Zack wanted to hold Drew. I try to let him every time he asks. He is such a good helper.

Biking

Zack in the bike trailer. Matt pulled him on my bike.

Mommy and Drew on Matt's bike. We decided that it would be easier if we traded bikes. That way I would not be biking with both boys.

Mommy trying not to fall asleep while feeding Drew.

Matt took Zack on a bike ride while I fed Drew. Zack fell asleep on the trail despite it being bumpy. Matt had to take these pictures with his camera phone. Zack decided that since he got wet on the kayaks that our camera needed to also. Don't worry. After two days of drying out, it works again.

The Boys

Zack wanted to hold Drew while mommy was feeding him.

The boys' first bath together. Drew did not think it was that fun. For his next bath he did not care.

Flooding pics

This is Cypress creek back in April on the 28th when we got 8 inches of rain in 24 hours. It had also rained about that much the previous weekend and there wasn't enough time between storms leaving the ground close to saturation.

This is what it normally looks like.

My Crazy Children

Matt went out running and I decided to blog. I took a few pics of Zack watching TV on the couch while Drew was sleeping. I transferred the pictures to the computer. In the time that it took to transfer the pictures and put them in folders, Zack had fallen asleep. So I had to take pictures of the boys sleeping on the couch together.

Brothers

Andrew chilling next to Zack.

Andrew just looking at the big world around him.

On our own

Zack trying to get his favorite things. He loves to get remotes and other things with buttons (such as our phones, the TV, the alarm- which he ended up setting off and scaring himself pretty badly).

Zack playing with his cars.

Andrew doing what he does best.

Zack sleeping. It is hard being a big brother and mommy's number one helper.

Life at home

Andrew getting a bath. Zack did not know what to think. When I told him Andrew was getting a bath Zack thought Andrew should get in the bath tub.

Grandma Allen with Zack and Andrew. Zack was not sure what to think.

Matt was building a tower with Zack. When Zack decided to try and climb on Matt's back.

Matt, Andrew, and Max taking a nap.

Andrew with his eyes open.

The many faces of Andrew

Andrew can make some pretty funny faces.
