Our week in review

Yesterday it got into the high 70's. So when Matt got home and the boys were up from their naps, we went to the park. The boys had a blast. When we were ready to go home, Drew went down the twisty slide by himself. He discovered static electricity by the time he reached the bottom.

Matt and Drew watching crazy Zack run around.

Zack needed mommy to save him and help him up the twisty slide.

Zack and Drew playing in the tunnel.

Drew going down a slide for the first time.

Yesterday I had made Zack a PB and J sandwich. Zack ate most of it and then it was time to have his nap. Zack left the rest of his sandwich in his bowl on the coffee table. I finished feeding Drew and put him on the floor. I took Zack to go to the bathroom before his nap. When we came out, I looked over to make sure Drew was ok before I took Zack upstairs. Drew was standing next to the coffee table. This is normal since he found out that he can pull himself up on anything. Then I noticed Zack's bowl and I knew what had happened. Drew had the sandwich, had taken a bite, and was chewing on it when I got over to him. So I grabbed the camera for a couple pics to show daddy. Drew then spit out the sandwich to make room for another bite.

I was trying to get a picture of Drew's vampire teeth. Every time I would take a picture, the flash would make him cover some part of his face. I am going to keep trying.

Big boy.

Zack wanted his picture taken when Matt was trying to get one of Drew. Zack just stepped in front of the camera.

How many toys does it take to make Drew happy? That is only one of the 3 hampers of toys that have made their home downstairs.

Too cool.

Christmas came again. We got the rest of our gifts from Idaho. The Allen cousins draw names and exchange gifts. Here is Zack with the blocks Drew got.

Zack's two favorite things: his burp rag and his thumb.

Getting ready to stand.

Three more pics by Zack.

Drew's first wagon ride. We had left our stroller at Rose's house. So when we wanted to go on a walk, we remembered that we had a wagon. The boys loved it.

Drew showing off his mad skills and the activity table I found at Goodwill for 7 dollars.

Our crazy life

Drew on his hands and knees on the couch.

Zack sharing (for once) his tools with Drew.

Zack playing with his ABC blocks in the hamper.

Family pics in our West Side apparel. My littlest sister is a senior. Her basketball team was selling shirts and sweatshirts for a fundraiser. So we bought shirts for the boys since they were cheaper and sweatshirts for Matt and me. Go Pirates!

Drew 8 months

A couple cute pics of the boys together. Zack loved his shirt. I put Drew's on first and Zack insisted he needed his on. Zack wore his for 3 days. The only reason he took it off was because the long sleeve shirt I had under it had gotten wet on the sleeve.

Zack

Drew loves being in the same room as you all the time. So I put his intellitainer in the kitchen while I made dinner. Then Zack decided that the zebra needed to be in there, so he carried it in.

Drew loves standing up next to things.

The boys "eating" breakfast. They both love putting the toy food in their mouths.

I got a little cold with 17-degree lows and 32-degree highs for 2 days straight. You can understand why the bed is the best place to sleep.

Christmas Day

My mom sent us all some Christmas PJ's. So of course we had to wear them (except Matt). He is wearing the warm up pants that Rose and Carl gave him.

Zack being a tunnel for Drew's animal train.

Mommy trying to teach Zack how to ride his trike.

Zack showing off all of the Buzz stuff he got. He is wearing his Buzz underwear also.

Zack playing in the tent that Grandma and Grandpa Zmolek gave him.

Drew playing with the bunny that Grandma and Grandpa Zmolek gave him.

Me showing off the frog that mom and dad Zmolek gave me.

The great piano books my sister Jen gave me. Hopefully the boys will let me practice so I can try and relearn how to play.

Zack and the great Geotrax expansion set my mom gave the boys. All three of them love it.

Drew with some of his toys.

Zack checking out the great game he got from Aunt Jami. He is now in love with playing games. All he does everyday is ask to play. We even had to go out and buy some more because we were tired of playing the same 4 games over and over.

Drew with his elephant.

Since most of Zack's presents were big, we let him help Drew open his. (As if we really had a choice in this.)

This tool set was one of his favorite gifts. But how can you beat a drill that makes sound and turns like a real drill?

Drew on his bounce and spin zebra. He has a little growing to do to work it. He still loves to sit on it and have mommy bounce him.

Drew ready for presents.

After Zack found his gifts, we moved the couch so he could play with them better.

Zack climbing over the couch to get to his gifts. Zack was up at 5:30 to go potty. We then let him hangout in our bed. After about 30 minutes of him tossing and turning, I asked him if he wanted mommy to go upstairs to his room with him. He said "yes". So we went upstairs to sleep in his bed. When we got to his room, he decided that he wanted to be in his room, but he also wanted to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. So I went and got the laptop so we could watch in his room. He watched Mickey Mouse while I dozed in and out. He then decided that at 7, since he could hear Drew, it was time to go downstairs again. We went straight into our room to wake up daddy. I put Drew on the bed and Zack decided that he was ready for milk. So we went out to the kitchen. On our way past the living room he saw the gifts. Zack got the biggest smile on his face, ran over to the couch, took a look at it all, and climbed over.
