What I bought with my birthday money.

While we were at Wal-Mart looking for a ball we found this swing. He loves it. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Zmolek.

Turns out that cousin Ray (Pat and Jessie's first) has the same swing and ball popper. During Chistmas, we also found out that they had the same winter hat.

Mommy I do not like this toy.

Our neighbors gave him the ball popper for his birthday. I don't think he likes it too much.

Having fun the rest of the day.

Zack's friend Ethan playing in the toy basket.
Zack still enjoying the books.
Matt's big present. A family size tent so we can go camping.

Opening presents.

A cool new truck.
Daddy reading Zack's peek-a-boo book to him.
Checking out the cool gift.
What a cool new toy. He likes to push them down when you push them up.
Enjoying the books that Josh and Xan gave him.

Eating birthday cake.

Not quite sure what to do.
Zack looking at mommy to see if it is ok.
Smashing it in my fingers.
Mom made me eat some of the cake and I did not want to. Mean mommy.
Josh did something funny to make me stop crying.

Playing with friends.

The kids enjoying playing with some of the toys mom sent us from California. The adults commented on how they remembered having some of them when they were little.

Mom can I have more chocolate?
Zack and Lily. Lily is 3 months older than Zack.

A party for the boys.

Decorations and the boys' birthday cakes. We had a party for both Matt and Zack on Matt's birthday.

Zack's firetruck cake.
Matt's cake. It is not as cool as Zack's, but hey. M&M's are good.

Our first hockey game.

We went to our first hockey game. We watched the Houston Aeros take on the Milwaukee Admirals. One of Matt's teacher friends knows some one with the Admirals so we got free seats. It was a lot of fun. The Aeros won 3-2 and there was a fight.

28 miles.

Matt woke up one Saturday morning at 3 am and decided that he was going to run his age. It was a nice cool morning, so he took off and ran 28 miles since that is how old he is now.

Look out the window.

Zack has found that the window in the front room is low enough for him to look out.

Look what daddy taught me.

Matt thought it would be fun to teach Zack how to climb the stairs. This is what happens when mommy works two days in a row. We will see if daddy is left in charge anymore.

Now, since he can crawl and get into everything, he is usually contained in the living room.
