Camping

We went camping with our friends one Friday night. We went to Lake Livingston. It was about an hour and a half north east from us.

Cooler weather

With colder weather comes the joy of more kitties in our bed. It is a good thing we have a king size bed now. But that means more room for more kitties and not more room for us. There are eight kitties in bed with us.

Gracie and Pip sharing a pillow. This one was a little of a shocker since Pip is not big on cuddling with anyone except Matt and me.

Missy found the grocery bags to sleep in.

Andrew

While Matt was busy mowing the neighbor's back yard and Zack was watching him, I was playing with and taking pictures of Drew. Here are just a few of the faces of Drew.

Service

Matt is such a great neighbor to have. About three weeks ago I looked out Zack's window and saw the forest that was the yard behind ours. I told Matt and he took a look. We had not seen anyone there for a while, so we figured that they moved out. Then one afternoon, we were sitting in the backyard with the boys and the cats when Matt got the desire to mow the forest. He did not want to walk all the way around the block with the lawn mower, so he had me help him lift it over the fence. Matt mowed from about 5 until 7:30 when it started to get too dark to mow. He was not even half way done. So the next day when he got home from work and the forecast said it was going to rain a lot the next few days, he decided to finish mowing the forest. He started at 3:30 and finished at 6.

Zack watched Matt from the top of the ladder.

Before (you can tell the parts I mowed- they're at the bottom of the picture)

Most of the "grass" was about 2+ feet tall- up to my knees and thighs

What he got done on the first day.

After- What isn't pictured is the 3 1/2 tanks of gas it required and the 32 fire ant bites on my ankles. It was quite the reward.

Our cute boys

We went to a hockey game. Since St Lukes is a sponsor of the Houston Aeros they were giving St Lukes employees buy one get one free tickets. So we went to a game and sat at center ice. Zack had a blast.

Look at that drool. Andrew sitting up with a little assistance of the boppy pillow. He can sit up by himself but has a tendency to go backwards after a little while.

Andrew and Zachary watching a movie together. Maybe they are just watching each other instead. They enjoy each other for the most part. Drew loves it when Zack jumps and runs around like a crazy man. Drew just sits there and laughs. Zack does get frustrated with him when he is crying and says "Dweeew" in a really frustrated voice. I wonder where he learned that from. (not daddy!)

Here is Zack with his tea set, baby, and stroller. If you remember from an older post, Zack loves tea sets. When he learned to climb on every thing and that he can use anything to assist him, he started to play with my tea set that I had on one of the selves of our upstairs entertainment center. With the start of this, I decided it was time that he have his own. So we went to Toys R Us and bought him a tea set, doll, and stroller. I had been wanting to buy him a doll and stroller since July when we were at my mom's house. He had so much fun playing with my little sister's doll and stroller. He is a great daddy. He takes baby Yack (Zack) almost anywhere and always sleeps with him.

Zack playing in Drew's toy box and with Drew's toys.

What should I do with my monkey? It seems like there is no place that he cannot get to. Here he has climbed on top of the kitty tower. He will use his stool to climb onto my counters and if I take the stool away he will use his rocking chair or the dining room chairs.

I was busy downstairs when Zack yells "momma yook!" I told him it would be a minute because I was busy. Again a yell- "momma yook!' So Matt went upstairs to look and this is what he found. He called down to tell me I would not believe where he was. I made a few guesses on my way up the stairs. Matt was right- I could not believe where Zack was.

Lost pics.

OK. They were not really lost. I had just forgotten that I transferred them to the computer and did not blog. So I found them today when I was putting together the calendar of the boys. Every year I put together a picture calendar of all the fun things we have done that year for my mom and Matt's parents. It is getting harder and harder as we have done so many fun things and the boys are having milestone moments all the time. It is hard to decide which pictures to use and disappointing that they all cannot fit. Here is Drew reading his favorite book. He loves it when Zack thinks it is story time and brings me book after book to read to them.

The boys playing upstairs while I worked on the calendar. They love the change from playing downstairs. There are different toys and things to see.

Drew sharing his toy bar with Zack. It is easy for Drew to share at this point, he really does not care. Zack, on the other hand, has a hard time. He is getting better and usually trades Drew for the toy he wants.

I do not know why this picture is this way. It looks right on the desktop.

I had set Drew on Zack's Tonka truck. In seeing this, Zack had to come over and sit on the truck also.

Drew's first bike ride in the bike trailer. They did great. I had put Zack in charge of watching Drew. Zack is a really big helper. Drew ended up falling asleep while on the ride. I rode the bike with the boys while Matt ran. When Matt wants to run more than five miles, I ride my bike.
